2016 is the year that my daughter truly became a reader, so adding books to her library became even more meaningful. These are books that we absolutely loved and feel are very much worth adding to your library. (Or as Christmas gifts!)
We love, love, love Todd Parr, so we had to check out his newest book. And as usual, it has a wonderful message!
Our family loved one of the earlier books in this series (Rosie Revere, Engineer) so much, it became a go-to gift for my daughter's friends. We might love this one even more.

Another gender stereotype defying book!
Although my daughter did not read this book on her own, I read it to her over the course of the summer. It is the story of Skylar Diggins, my daughter's favorite player. So many of her life lessons or rules are similar to ones already shared with my daughter.
